Juliana Haugen

Juliana is an Associate Professor of Business Economics at the Inland School of Business and Social Sciences at the University of Inland Norway, and a member of the Business Analytics research group. She holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from NTNU Business School and a Master’s degree in International Business and Marketing from NTNU Ålesund.

Her research is interdisciplinary, focusing on the interaction between environmental governance and sustainability transitions in natural resource industries. She particularly enjoys combining quantitative, qualitative, and hybrid methods to explore stakeholder perspectives and how regulatory frameworks and innovation can drive more sustainable practices in firms.

Her doctoral research investigated stakeholder perceptions and the role of environmental regulations in the sustainability of the salmon farming industry, combining panel data analysis, Q methodology, and thematic analysis. The papers from the thesis have been published in Ecological Economics, Marine Policy, and Aquaculture Economics & Management.
