Matters Addressed by the Presidium
- Review the framework budget and accounts for all cost units, as well as the account budget and accounts for its own cost unit.
- Process documents such as the operational strategy, annual accounts, annual report, strategies, routines, and other overarching regulations.
- Determine the content of cooperation agreements, except for which positions in StInn receive remuneration and the amount, as well as which entities StInn should have cooperation agreements with.
- Establish project groups and committees as needed.
- Grant power of attorney.
- Appoint students to roles outside of StInn that are not already regulated elsewhere.
- Develop the Presidium’s action plan for the upcoming year.
- Submit applications for funding to the National Union of Students in Norway (NSO).
- Provide recommendations on all matters to be addressed by the Student Parliament, except for election-related matters.
- Handle other major issues that do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Student Parliament.

Previous Meetings of the Presidium
The Presidium held a different role within StInn prior to the organizational restructuring on July 1, 2022.
From July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2022, the Presidium’s primary function was to act as an advisory body to the Parliament, which was the highest governing body at the time. Secondarily, it served as a forum for experience-sharing among Local Executive Committee Leaders (Studentrådsledere). Occasionally, it also made decisions to coordinate operations across campuses.
Today, the Presidium has assumed part of the authority previously held by the Parliament, while experience-sharing and operational coordination have been transferred to the Leadership Committee (LU). As a result, significantly more final decisions are made by the Presidium today compared to before July 1, 2022.
