EMERGE
INN is a partner in the European university alliance EMERGE. Nine member institutions are spread across Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Slovakia, Cyprus, Greece and Norway, uniting to empower our marginalised regions and promote European values and identity through collaboration in education, research and societal engagement.
EMERGE stands for 'Empowering the Margins of Europe through Regional and Global Engagement'.
INN has been a part of the EMERGE initiative since 2019, and the alliance is officially launched as a 'European University' from 2025.
The collaboration is central to the institution's international work, and it opens up exchange opportunities for students and staff. Additionally, it can provide opportunities for Inland Norway (Innlandet County) as a region.
The alliance can catalyse exciting joint projects that provide actors in the region with access to a collective competence that is significantly greater than what INN can deliver alone. Several other actors in Innlandet County are also collaborative partners in EMERGE.

What do we aim to achieve?
