Home exams and other submissions

At the university, home exams and submissions are carried out in the exam system WISEflow.

The university must make sure that your knowledge and skills are tested in a fair and academically sound way. This helps maintain the academic standard of the study programme, as stated in Act relating to universities and university colleges § 11-6. To ensure this, all exam submissions are checked for plagiarism. Your submission will also be stored in the plagiarism database and may be used to compare with future submissions from other students. INN uses the plagiarism tool Inspera Originality, which is a closed system.

En bokstabel og en PC. INN-effekter på bordet.

There is a lot of variation in how a home exam or submission can be organised. For example, it may be a 6‑hour home exam where you write your answer directly in WISEflow, or a bachelor’s thesis submission where no exam question is given and you upload your submission as one PDF file in WISEflow before the deadline.

As a student, it is important that you follow the information about your exam carefully in Studentweb, WISEflow, Canvas, and the course description.

WISEflow

Most home exams and submissions use FLOWassign. Here, you upload your main file as a PDF, and you can add other file types as attachments. If an exam question is given at the start of the exam, you will find it in WISEflow.

Some exams use FLOWhandin, where the main file must be in a file format other than PDF.

Remember to upload your files and click “Submit” before the deadline. After submitting, you can send a receipt to your email..

Do you need support?

If you experience technical problems with uploading/submitting that prevent you from delivering your exam response by the submission deadline, immediately contact the study administration at your faculty.

If you need assistance with conducting a demo test or have other IT-related issues, contact IT Support well in advance of the exam.
