For home exams, the flow type FLOWassign is normally used. There, you must submit a main document, which must be a PDF file. You can also attach additional files if necessary.

Under the "Participation" tab, you will find the exams you are registered for. Click on the timeline/box for the exam you want to submit.

Tips and advice

Here are some tips and advice on how you can edit information in your files.

Removing personal information from a file

For most home exams/assignments you will use a candidate number instead of your own name to ensure anonymity. If you are using a candidate number, you should remove personal information from files before converting them to another format and uploading them to WISEflow.

Microsoft files often contain automatic information about the author. Before submission, this can be removed as follows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint):

  1. Open the document.
  2. Go to File and then Info.
  3. Click Check for Issues and then Inspect Document.
  4. Tick the box Document Properties and Personal Information.
  5. Click Inspect and then Remove All.
  6. Save the document.

This removes the author’s name and other personal document information.

File name and file format

Avoid using your name in the file name. Use the course code and your candidate number for the specific exam.

File format

Usually, only one PDF file is allowed for submission. If attachments are allowed, this will be stated in the exam assignment.

Make sure that the files are correctly converted to PDF to avoid uploading an invalid file.

Converting a file from Word to PDF:
  1. Open the document in Word.
  2. Click File and then Save As/Save a Copy.
  3. Choose where the file should be saved.
  4. Select PDF in the dropdown menu for file types in Windows, or in the file format field on Mac.
