Short description

Mette Nyseter is a director, researcher and assistant professor at the Norwegian TV School, University of Inland Norway, where she has taught the art of audiovisual storytelling since 2016. Her main focus is directing for TV and documentaries.

She currently works within artistic research, exploring improvisation, role play and simulation as methods for developing both documentary filmmakers and their artistic projects. She is particularly interested in how embodied processes support learning, creativity and artistic development. In her practice, the classroom is turned into a laboratory where students can explore ideas and visions, as well as strategies, methods, communication and collaboration in creative teams.
