Short description
Maria Taivalsaari Røhnebæk has a MA in social anthropology and a PhD in technology, innovation and culture from The University of Oslo (UIO). Her doctoral thesis deals with digitalization of welfare services and its implications for frontline work. Her research is more broadly set within innovation in care and welfare services and includes studies in various service areas such as refugee services, dementia care and employment and welfare services. Thematic areas in her research are collaborative innovation, design approaches to innovation, and translation perspectives on implementation and diffusion of innovations. Røhnebæk is part of a research group on innovation in the public sector, and she is leading a research group on digitalization and welfare service work. She is also a board member of a national research network on public sector innovation (INNOFF).
