Anders Aschim is a professor of Religious Education. He studied theology at MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society and holds a doctoral degree in history from UiT The arctic university of Norway.
His main areas of research are Bible and Bible translation, Judaism in antiquity, Norwegian 19th century history, and religion and migration. Aschim is the leader of the four-year research project Non-formal faith education, the public school, and religious minorities in Norway (FAITHED), funded by the Research Council of Norway. He is a member of the research group Diversity in Education (DivE).
