Do you wish to collaborate with us?
INN aims to work closely with working life and society, both in our educational programmes and in our research and development work. We collaborate with stakeholders regionally, nationally, and internationally.
INN has extensive collaboration with working and social life at all levels in the organisation, and with many different businesses and interest groups regionally, nationally, and internationally. Collaboration with external environments is, in many ways, the backbone of our research and educational activities.
The institution wishes to be a driving force for development in Innlandet County when interacting with our surroundings and through collaboration with both private and public actors. Collaboration includes everything from comprehensive partnership agreements to smaller individual projects.
INN has set a strategic plan forward to 2026 with the goal of being a driving force in the development of society, where we create new competence, innovative research and development projects and new learning methods in close collaboration with our partners from business, government, and the non-governmental sector.
International collaboration
INN has an ambition to be a global player. Our networks and initiatives range from EU projects to educational efforts across several continents. We are proud to be a member of the university alliance Emerge.
Research collaboration
We want our research and artistic development work to be perceived as relevant to businesses, and we are always open to new collaboration partners. See the current research at INN and the services we offer.
Our centres for competence, learning and research
At INN, there are several centres specialising in specific fields to promote growth, competence, and the development of services for various organisations:
Competence Centre for Public Innovation (KOI)
The Competence Centre for Public Innovation (KOI) bridges the gap between research, education, and practice. The centre supports municipalities, county councils, and state actors in initiating innovation and development projects within their organisations. KOI holds the academic responsibility for the national innovation school for the municipal sector and the collaboration agreement between the university and NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration).
PROTECT – Centre for Preparedness and Crisis Management
The Centre for Preparedness and Crisis Management (PROTECT) at the University of Inland Norway is located at the Rena campus. It is home to experts in crisis management, realistic training, and interdisciplinary approaches. PROTECT is the country’s leading research environment for crisis management, working closely with other relevant centres across Norway.
Center for Research on Digitalization and Sustainability (CREDS)
The Center for Research on Digitalization and Sustainability (CREDS) is INN’s research centre for digitalisation and sustainability. The centre aims to contribute relevant and new insights into how organisations can adapt to the sustainable and digital transformation expected by society today.
Centre for Lifelong Learning (SELL)
The Centre for Lifelong Learning (SELL) assists organisations with competence development. SELL develops and offers customised courses and programmes that can be combined with work, using relevant and effective learning methods.
Centre for Studies of Educational Practice (SePU)
The Centre for Studies of Educational Practice (SePU) conducts research and improvement work for and within kindergartens, primary schools, and upper secondary education. SePU contributes research-based and practice-oriented knowledge to teacher and leadership education at all levels, from undergraduate to PhD programmes.
Centre for Collaborative Learning for Sustainable Development (CCL)
The Centre for Collaborative Learning for Sustainable Development (CCL) strengthens and develops new interdisciplinary didactics for teaching and education aimed at sustainable development. The focus is on active learning methods, interdisciplinarity, consumption, lifestyle, and social learning. CCL provides input for curricula, develops teaching materials, participates in societal debates, and offers professional advice on education policy to authorities and organisations.
Eastern Norway Research Institute (ENRI)
Eastern Norway Research Institute (ENRI) is a social science research institute. The institute offers research, knowledge-based analyses, and evaluations across several disciplines. For now, you can still find extensive information at www.ostforsk.no.
