Migration and multicultural studies

Migration and multicultural studies underline that children and youth’s participation and competence development take place within and between social and cultural contexts, in which the processes of participation and competence development are both influencing and influenced by these contexts.

What we research

The aim is to promote and conduct studies which include issues of co-existence and inclusion/exclusion within fields of super-diversity, transnational relations, urban and rural conditions, and minority or marginalized status, as these are related to race, ethnicity, social class, use of Norwegian or other majority languages as a second language, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, spirituality, illegality or other relevant issues.
