What we research
We are especially engaged in research on children’s and young people’s active learning of mathematics, including through exploration, reasoning, argumentation, and the use of the body, as well as on mathematical teaching tasks that student teachers and practising teachers can develop and practise in order to facilitate children’s and young people’s active mathematical learning. The research group is concerned with the relationship between the teaching student teachers encounter at university and students’ teaching practice in schools, the design of mathematical learning activities in schools and teacher education, and the use of AI in mathematics within teacher education.
