Preparations before the exam day
You are responsible for your own equipment. Make sure that all necessary software is installed and tested, and remember to bring the charger for your laptop.
Technical requirements
Well before the exam day, you must:
- Check that you have access to Eduroam (the wireless network at INN). This is especially important for students using a work laptop provided by an employer.
- Use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, which are the recommended browsers.
- Make sure you remember the username and password for your Feide account
- Download and test Lockdown Browser or Device Monitor (depending on your exam type).
Technical problems that delay the start of the exam do not give the right to extended time if the issue is caused by failing to meet the points above.
Username and password
As a student, you log in to WISEflow using your Feide account. Before your exam, it is therefore a good idea to check that your Feide account is working. You can test this by logging in to WISEflow or Canvas.

Demo exam
We strongly recommend that you get familiar with WISEflow before the exam day. The better you know the exam system, the more you can focus on your answer during the exam.
You will find the demo exam at the bottom of the WISEflow start page, and you can complete it several times.
Overview of demo flows:
- FLOWassign: Demonstrates PDF file upload (relevant for campus exams with open internet, home exams, and regular assignments).
- FLOWmulti: Interactive exam with multiple-choice tasks, image tasks, and text. Requires Lockdown Browser.
- FLOWmulti — advanced: Shows more advanced task types (relevant for campus exams with open internet and home exams).
- FLOWlock: Demonstrates long-answer exams. Requires Lockdown Browser.
Lockdown Browser and Device Monitor
- Lockdown Browser is a locked browser. When it is used during an exam, you do not have access to other websites or your files.
- Device Monitor is used for exams where candidates are allowed to use third-party tools. The monitor records your screen and takes screenshots during the exam. It must be activated before you can open the exam task, and it will be shown with a red frame around the screen.
- Download the required software (Lockdown Browser or Device Monitor) from your exam flow page, or by clicking your name in the upper right corner of WISEflow, choosing Edit profile and opening the System tab.
Text editor, appendix manager and handwritten sketches
- Get to know the text editor in the demo exam. You can also check tips about functions and shortcuts in FLOWlock.
- The text editor includes simple functions such as tables, headings, font changes, spellcheck languages and colours.

Using Lovdata Pro during exams
In some school exams, Lovdata Pro will be available as a digital aid in WISEflow. When permitted, Lovdata Pro is used in exam mode, which involves restrictions on the annotations, selections, and legal sources you have access to.
You will receive information from your faculty if Lovdata Pro is permitted on your exam. Please note that some study programmes may have additional regulations, for instance rules on annotations or reference notes, beyond what is indicated as permitted in Lovdata Pro.

Before the exam
How to check the exam regulations in Lovdata Pro:
- Log in to Lovdata Pro using your Feide account.
- Click on the cogwheel “My settings” in the lower-left corner.
- Select the relevant exam under “Exam regulations”.
- Enable exam mode.
- The exam regulations will then be displayed on the front page.
During the exam
How to access Lovdata Pro in WISEflow:
- Click “Permitted internet resources” in the upper-right corner and then select “Lovdata” to open Lovdata Pro in a separate tab.
The permitted internet resources button is in the same place in both FLOWlock and FLOWmulti:
- Log in to Lovdata Pro using your Feide account.
- Check that you have the correct exam rules by going to the home page of Lovdata Pro (click on the Lovdata logo). Using the wrong exam rules may be regarded as cheating or attempted cheating.
- You may open Lovdata Pro in multiple tabs, if required.
- To copy and paste text between exam questions and/or Lovdata Pro, use the following keyboard shortcuts:
- Windows: Ctrl + c (copy) / Ctrl + v (paste)
- macOS: Cmd + c (copy) / Cmd + v (paste)
After the exam has ended, the standard version of Lovdata Pro may be unavailable for up to two hours.
