Among other things, the Student's Union is responsible for all class representatives at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, and we have focused a lot on elections for the local executive committees, as well as providing information to class representatives about what being a representative entails. We're proud to have elected student councils at most campuses, which are the student voices from the different campuses. We now have active local executive committees in Lillehammer, Hamar, Blæstad, Rena, and Evenstad, while we're working to elect a student council in Elverum as well. It's also worth mentioning that in addition to conducting local elections, we have elected representatives from the ballot election who will sit as delegates in the Student Parliament - the most important and highest body in the Student's Union.
The Student Parliament is the body that makes the most important decisions for the Student's Union, and we're really looking forward to conducting the first Student Parliament meeting on October 18-19. The Student Parliament sets the direction for the organisation's future work, and we will, among other things, adopt flagship issues, political priorities, budget goals for 2025, discuss the principle program and current issues that are important to students.
Even though a lot of time has been spent on elections and laying the groundwork for the rest of the semester, we are looking forward to getting started with the political work. At the same time, we will continue our efforts to stay relevant in matters concerning the students, and to be the students' voice against the university.
