The staff loves to talk about their field of study and are more than happy with students showing up at their door, wondering about something. This can build to a future collaboration when it is time to write your BA/MA thesis.
A big part of the student life is doing fieldwork in the surrounding area. Students are also invited to various voluntary trips or activities, such as “tiurleik” (Black grouse excursion). There are also several research projects taking place near the campus, and interested exchange students often participate in them, such as an owl project led and conducted by our master's students in 2026.
