A tasty celebration of United Nations Day

Yesterday, the annual International Mix Party was held at Hamar campus. Students at INN University from around the world shared their cultural heritage through food for everyone to enjoy.

We celebrate our unity, diversity and the richness of our global community – the languages, traditions and, of course, the food that each culture brings to the table.

The countries represented by students at this year's event were Australia, Argentina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain & Catalonia, Slovakia, South Korea, and Tanzania.

The UN’s mission is to foster peace, cooperation and respect across nations, and nothing embodies that spirit of unity more than the sharing of our cultural heritage.

Through food, we get a taste of each other’s history, values and creativity. The International Mix Party is not just about enjoying a variety of flavours, but also about building connections, deepening our understanding, and appreciating the beauty of our diversity at INN University.

The event is always free of charge and open for anyone who wants to participate. INN University are happy to both host and promote our international students.

The International Mix Party was opened by the Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Education, Susan Lee Nacey. Throughout the event, live music was played by students and staff from a stage by the stands.

This was truly a rich event with many contributors and visitors, and we are already looking forward to next year's party!
