What is an education plan?
The education plan is based on the programme description of the study program you are admitted to and shows which courses you need to take and when. You can make changes to the education plan during your studies. Your diploma will be based on the courses in your education plan (diploma basis).
The education plan can be used for several purposes:
- Plan your study progression in your program. A full-time study amounts to 30 credits per semester.
- View the courses you have taken in the study program.
- See courses approved in your study program from other institutions.
- Identify which courses will be the basis for your degree diploma.
- Review important rules you need to know as a student.
The education plan includes both a section on rights and obligations and a section with your individual plan.
Rights and obligations
This is a general section where you confirm that you commit to adhering to the laws and regulations at University of Inland Norway. It also includes the mandatory self-declaration for the submission of student work. It is important that you read the documents and familiarize yourself with our regulations and what we expect from you.
Eduction plan
This is an individual plan that shows when you will take the various courses in your study program. Mandatory courses are already included in the plan. You will need to select any elective courses yourself.
You will be automatically registered for classes and exams when you confirm the education plan.
The education plan is saved automatically every time it is opened.
It is important that you check each semester to ensure you are registered for the courses you are supposed to take. In Studentweb, you will find information throughout the academic year about exam dates, candidate numbers for exams, all your exam results, and what has been reported to Lånekassen.
If you have questions about your education plan or need guidance regarding your study program, which elective courses to choose, or changes to the plan, you can contact the stuy administration at your faculty.
Receipt
You will receive an email with an overview of courses, classes, and exams (assessments) once the education plan is saved.
Deadlines
The deadlines for confirming the education plan and paying the semester fee (completing the semester registration) are as follows:
- Autumn semester: September 1st

Some study programmes have diverging deadlines. Students enrolled in such programmes will receive information by email.
