The courses are jointly organized by UiT The Arctic University of Norway (UiT), University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN), University of Oulu (UOulu) and University of Faroe Islands (Setur) with support from the University of the Arctic (UArctic). The courses will be offered at both master- and Phd- level.
About the courses
Our on-site courses will be project-based. You'll engage with real-world challenges through case studies, focusing on Northern communities and ecosystems. The course preparation will include a range of literature, from peer-reviewed scientific articles to grey literature and book chapters, ensuring a well-rounded foundation even if you don’t have a good understanding of One Health yet.
Our online courses will offer comprehensive coverage of One Health in Northern communities. You can join our online courses from anywhere and explore critical aspects of One Health such as food and water safety, zoonoses control, or contamination. This format is perfect for students seeking flexible learning options while engaging in transdisciplinary dialogue and problem-solving.
Who is it for?
The courses are relevant for students with a background in life sciences, natural or social sciences as well as humanities, law and health sciences, currently studying at master or PhD level. The courses may also be relevant as continuing education for professionals interested in the One Health topics, the Northern communities and transdisciplinary approaches. Admission priority will be given to students registering for both courses (on-site + online), but the online courses can be taken independently.
