The programme is interdisciplinary, comprised of contributions from Education in Natural Science, Social Science, and Religious Education. The programme will provide students with insight into the Nordic response to the call for Education for Diversity and Sustainable Living. Students will approach the issue theoretically and practically, through observation and involvement in educational practices. The programme will prepare students to be critical discussants on how to educate for diversity and sustainable living.
The programme is at bachelor level and all teaching and teaching materials are in English. The programme is offered in autumn semester (from August to December) and composes 3 courses with 10 ECTS credits each:
- Course 1 «Education for Sustainable Living and the Nordic Welfare State»
- Course 2 «Environmental education»
- Course 3 «Nordic perspectives on cultural and religious diversity»
Teaching is organized as lectures, workshops, web discussions, practical laboratory work, seminars and student presentations.
