Motivational seminar for early career researchers

Sessions 15 and 18 January: Finding your purpose (What’s your why?)

Many researchers experience a lack of motivation due to the home office situation caused by the corona crisis. If you are losing motivation or sight of what makes you happy in your work/research/life, this seminar will help you reconnect with what inspires and motivates you about your work. You will explore techniques for (re) discovering your purpose and for finding more ‘purpose moments’ in your day to day life. Great for PhD, Post docs or anyone who needs to rediscover their ‘mojo’.

Lecturer is Mel Jones, Researcher Development Adviser at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). She has developed the ACTivator programme, LJMU's programme of researcher development workshops, which was has been awarded the 'Developing Excellent Practice Award 2019' at the Staff Development Forum's (SDF) annual national conference. Some of us know Mel from the PhD day in January 2020 where she facilitated the workshop “We are what we think about all day long: confidence, control and the power of navel-gazing”.

Register for session either January 15th or 18th, both days from 10 am -12 am (including 15 min break).

Registration closes January 10th .

Max. 40 participants per session.
