Rafi is the leader of the Bioinformatics and Biodiscovery group (B&B), which is one of the groups funded by strategic research grant from INN.
He was part of the research group, which won the Research prize for best INN research group 2018. Rafi is the project leader for two RCN projects ( AMR-Diag and ABR-Diag) on novel diagnostics for antibiotic resistance and is the WP leader for a number of RCN, RFFI and Helse Sør Øst funded projects.
He is affiliated to Nor-OpenScreen (the Norwegian node of the EU-Openscreen infrastructure project) via an MoU with Prof. Kjetil Tasken, Biotechnology Centre, University of Oslo/Oslo University Hospital (OUS).
He is also part of the TTA - Turning the Tide of Antimicrobial resistance consortium ( https://www.ous-research.no/amr/ ), which is lead by the Oslo University Hospital.
