Ph.d-course in Science Theory and Research Ethics 2018


The course will take place over five days with lectures, seminars and group discussions. The main topics are:

  • General philosophy of science
  • The philosophy of the Social sciences and the Humanities.
  • Research ethics

Time and place

Monday May the 28th-Friday 1 of June 2018.

The course will be held in Inland Norway University Lillehammer.


Application form must be sent no later than Thursday 1 of March 2018. More information about application will be published soon.


NOK 3500,-. The fee covers only participation. There is no fee for PhD students at PhD program at Inland Norway University.

Participants must prepare an outline of their PHD work (about 1 page). Deadline 11th of May 2018.


Participants will be required to submit an approved essay for 8-10 pages. The essay must be a discussion of science theoretical and research ethical issues based on their own PhD work.

Deadline for submission of essay 20th of June 2018.
