About the Programme
This series of seminars is based on the book Statistical Rethinking by Richard McElreath.
The book introduces Bayesian statistics and probabilistic programming in the context of scientific research. The book helps you to develop a principled approach to statistical analysis.
Curricula and courses
The course is part of the Ph.D. program in Health and Welfare and can be taken independently of the Ph.D. program. In the curriculum, you will find more information on learning objectives and the assessment method.
Participation and attendance
The seminar series consists of ten weekly seminars that discuss the material and exercises from the book Statistical Rethinking. This learning strategy requires preparation for active participation in the discussions, which includes reading the relevant chapters, watching the lectures, and working on relevant exercises.
