The conference is organized by INN University and will bring together several hundred participants from various countries.
The theme of the conference is "The role of higher education in contributing to just and sustainable futures."
"We are pleased that the minister views participating in the conference as a priority. It shows that this is an important arena for academics and institutions from the north and south. We look forward to hosting the participants when they come to Hamar," says INN University's Rector Peer Jacob Svenkerud.
The conference is organized every year for the Southern African Nordic Centre (SANORD) network. The network aims to promote academic cooperation between regions in southern Africa and the Nordic countries.
Twenty four Nordic and 32 African institutions are part of the network, and participate in a number of joint projects in research and education. Themes related to sustainable development are central in these collaborations.
