"INN aims to be an attractive, accessible, and international university. Hosting international students from outside the EEA who wish to complete their degrees here holds great value for us. This contributes to a better and more international study and learning environment, which is beneficial for both our students and academic communities," says Acting Vice-Rector for Education, Kai Tore Bakke.

Confirmed tuition fees for the academic year 2026/2027

For our English-taught programmes, the annual tuition fees are as follows:

• Master in Applied Ecology – NOK 68,500 (reduced from NOK 271,000)

• Master in Applied Biotechnology and Biomedicine – NOK 68,500 (reduced from NOK 271,000)

• Master of Science in Business Administration - Major Business Analytics – NOK 58,200 (reduced from NOK 194,000)

• Bachelor in Game Art and Animation – NOK 68,500 (reduced from NOK 186,000)

• Bachelor in Game Technology – 68.500 (ned fra 186.000 kroner)

• Norwegian Language and Culture – NOK 29,100 *

(*NOK 58,200 for the full two-year programme.)

Additionally, the rates have also been adjusted for the following programmes:

• Programmes within humanities, social sciences, as well as business and administration will now cost NOK 58,200 per 60 credits.

• Programmes within natural sciences, technology, health sciences, sports sciences, teacher education, and practical arts and media will cost NOK 68,500 per 60 credits.

"The tuition fees have been significantly reduced, and the rates are now confirmed. However, the changes are contingent upon a legislative amendment that must be passed by the Norwegian Parliament. This ensures predictability for our prospective students now that our international admissions have opened," says Bakke.

INN's international admissions opened on 1 November. The application deadline is 1 December.

As of 18 November last year, INN had a total of 33 applicants in the international admissions process. This year, we have received 172 applications so far.

Awaiting legislative change

The Ministry of Education and Research has indicated to educational institutions that they should anticipate a legislative amendment being passed by the Norwegian Parliament. The anticipated change will allow institutions to set lower tuition fees than currently required. In recent years, universities were obliged to charge fees that reflected the full cost of studies, including all direct and indirect costs associated with the programmes over time.

Tuition fees were introduced in 2023. In 2022, INN had 32 enrolled students from the international admissions process outside the EU/EEA. In 2023 and 2024, the numbers dropped to 4 and 3, respectively.

In 2025, there were 9 enrolled students, 4 of whom were from the Inland School of Business and Social Sciences’ Master in Business Administration - Major Business Analytics, which had qualified international applicants for the first time in 2025.
