Concern around further developments in Europe

Developments in Ukraine are worsening with each passing day. “It's awful and shocking. Millions of people are suffering, and the consequences of the war are vast and seem to be steadily increasing,” says Peer Jacob Svenkerud, INN University’s rector.

Democracy is under attack in Europe. It also has major consequences for research and educational institutions, primarily in Ukraine, but also in other countries directly affected by the war.

INN University has mapped travel movements among students and staff. There are currently no registered students in Ukraine or from Ukraine. The International Office has an overview and contact with our students who are in Russia or neighbouring countries that are directly or indirectly affected by the war.

INN University has set central crisis staff and is following the situation closely. It has been decided that no new cooperation projects will be entered into with Russia as of now. INN University is otherwise awaiting guidelines on how we should relate to existing collaborations. Employees or students shall not travel to countries that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against entering.

Dramatic times are also marked digitally. All employees and students are therefore encouraged to be especially vigilant in terms of cyber-attacks, and to have a low threshold for responding and notifying the IT department.
