Library courses autumn 2024

Literature searching in Scopus and Web of Science

Web of Science and Scopus are large citation databases on different subject areas and disciplines. Do you need an overview of literature on a topic or by a specific author? How are the articles or the authors being cited? This course passes on useful techniques for searching.

Instructors: Senior academic librarian Inger Beate Nylund and university librarian Randolf Dionisio Mariano

Searching for research data

Do you want to find and use open data in your research? We demonstrate searches in various data archives and open databases that may be relevant to both researchers and students.

This course is for master students, researchers and PhD students.

Instructors: Senior academic librarians Mahmood Khosrowjerdi and Ellen Nierenberg

Data management plans

How to write a data management plan? A data management plan contributes to ensuring that the data in your project is handled securely, responsibly, and in accordance with applicable laws and agreements. The data management plan should detail the data handling throughout the entire project cycle, closely tied to your project's research design. Most research funders (including HINN) require a draft data management plan as part of the project application - furthermore, the plan assists in making your data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
