Struggling to find the time, focus, or motivation to get your writing or reading done? Whether you're working on assignments, your syllabus, or research, the university library offers a dedicated space where you can make real progress through structured sessions in a focused environment.
What is it?
Shut Up and Write/Read is a structured, distraction-free session where you work alongside others while focusing on your own tasks. There’s no teaching, no pressure, and no discussion during the sessions, just quiet, dedicated time for productivity.
How does it work?
Bring your own laptop, water, and everything you need. We have two structured, focused 45-minute sessions, with a 15-minute social break. During the break, coffee and tea will be served, providing an opportunity for you to relax and connect with other participants.
Session structure:
09:00-09:10 - Arrival, coffee and tea served, find a seat
09:10-09:15 – Welcome & house rules
09:15-10:00 - 1st writing/reading session
10:00-10:15 - Social break
10:15-11:00 - 2nd writing/reading session
The sessions are organized by the INN University Library, Lillehammer campus.
