Short description

Astrid Iversen started as an Associate Professor in Law (førsteamanuensis) at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences in 2020. She is currently on leave to do research on central banks' expanding role in financial markets in times of crisis, in a joint research project between Inland University and the faculty of law at the University of Oslo. Astrid co-chairs the research group on European and Global Studies (EUGLOB)

She holds a PhD (2020) and a Master of Law (2015) from the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. She has also studied banking and finance law at ESADE Law School in Barcelona (2013) and been a Visiting Scholar at Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge (2017). Formerly, she has also worked as an associate lawyer at the law firm Schjødt, a Secretary to the Complaints Board for Auditor- and Accountant Cases, and a Research Assistant at the Department of Private Law, University of Oslo.

Her research interests are varied and include contract law, law of obligations, finance and banking law, private international law, international economic law, central banking, sovereign debt and sustainable development. Her PhD was on Intercreditor Equity in Sovereign Debt Restructurings and lies in the intersection between international contract law, administrative law and financial regulation, public international law, and private international law. 

Astrid teaches financial market regulation, theory of legal sources, law of obligations, tort law and public international law.
