Seminar on deepfake technology

Are you curious about how deepfakes are created or misused?

Poster seminar

The research group Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence (XRai) invites you to an open seminar for anyone interested in a topic that is receiving increasing attention – deepfakes.

Modern technology has made it possible for almost anyone to create realistic fake videos and images, often nearly impossible to distinguish from reality.

But what does this really mean, and what ethical challenges does it bring?

The seminar focuses on deepfake technology and how AI and machine learning are used to create such manipulated videos. We will demonstrate real-time examples of deepfakes and discuss the ethical and security-related challenges associated with the technology.

From the Game School at INN, Associate Professor Kevin Tan and PhD candidate Ole E. Flaten will contribute with technical insight into deepfakes.

Bjørn Inge Sletta, from SpareBank1 Østlandet,  a senior consultant in cybersecurity, will provide insight into the discussion about real-life deepfake scam cases.

The seminar will be held in English.

All are welcome!
