Helyette Geman is a Research Professor at Johns Hopkins University and a Visiting Professor at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. Her research has spanned the fields of Stochastic Interest Rates, Catastrophic Insurance and Commodities, in particular Crude Oil and Electricity. She was the first woman in 36 years of existence of the Award to have been chosen in April 2023 'Financial Engineer of the Year 2022'
Bruno Dupire is a researcher and lecturer in quantitative finance. He is currently Head of Quantitative Research at Bloomberg LP. He is best known for his contributions to local volatility modeling and Functional Itô Calculus. He is also an Instructor at New York University since 2005, in the Courant Master of Science Program in Mathematics in Finance.
Alireza Borhani lead the design and implementation of digital transformation roadmaps towards obtaining business intelligence, operational excellence, and automated processes in complicated corporate industries, resulting in digital enterprise architectures: ERP systems, RPA methods, Cloud solutions, Data Analytics and BI dashboards, eCommerce solutions, UI/UX, MES, and IoT networks, to name a few.
His technical background is information and communications technology (PhD in ICT), having core expertise in advanced analytics, signal processing, and M2M communications. He is a R&D leader with track records of developing and leading sophisticated technology development projects, obtaining competitive grants from Norwegian government and EU Commission, and establishing strategic partnership across the globe. He is also the Nordic Talent Ambassador in Technology and involved in voluntary activities, ranging from speech coaching for TEDx, delivering keynote speeches at management events, shaping startup ideas, offering management consultancy, and up to reviewing technical papers and chairing international flagship conferences.
