The 16th International Grouse Symposium

Grouse in a white mountain landscape, surrounded by rocks and snow

From Monday, 31 August to Friday, 4 September, the Scandic Hamar will host leading researchers, conservationists, and grouse enthusiasts from around the world.

Throughout the week, the program will feature presentations, poster sessions, and a field trip for all participants to Finnskogen. One day will be dedicated specifically to grouse research and conservation from a Nordic perspective.

We are proud to announce our keynote speakers:

  • Kathy Martin (University of British Columbia)
  • Michael A. Schroeder (Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife)
  • Erlend Birkeland Nilsen (Nord University and NINA)

Following the symposium, two optional post-conference field excursions will be offered to Jotunheimen and Lierne.

Wildlife Biology Journal will be the scientific outlet for the symposium.
