Would you like to try a new language?

The University of Limerick is offering free “language tasters” for eight different languages, including Irish, Japanese, and Arabic. This is an accessible, low-threshold opportunity where, through short online sessions, you can learn some new words and gain insight into another culture.

The programme is part of the Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival, with the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics and Aonad na Gaeilge (School of English, Irish, and Communication) organising the language sessions.

  • Chinese: 20:00–21:00 with Xiaxia

Tuesday, 21 April

  • Arabic: 19:00–20:00 with Hadjer
  • Japanese: 20:00–21:00 with Sachiyo

Wednesday, 22 April

  • Italian: 19:00–20:00 with Patrizia
  • Spanish: 20:00–21:00 with Angel

Thursday, 23 April

  • French: 19:00–20:00 with Emmy
  • Irish/Gaeilge: 20:00–21:00 with Helena
