The Department of Biotechnology is located at Hamar. We offer a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a master’s degree in Applied and Commercial Biotechnology, where you can choose between specialising in experimental biotechnology or commercial biotechnology.
The department works closely with the biotechnology industry in the Hamar region. The department has many researchers who are also active lecturers. The research that takes place at the department is specifically aimed at the reproduction of fish and livestock, applied molecular and microbial genetics, bioprospecting and bioinformatics.
